The startup Nooly is a revolutionary startup that’s going to change the entire weather prediction field.
Nooly promises accurate weather prediction on specific places (1×1 km) and specific time (by the minute!).
It was founded by 2 Israeli entrepreneurs, Yaron Reich and Professor Daniel Rosenfeld.
Using a special patented technology and in cooperation with the USA meteorological service they’re able to decipher radar readings and transform it to accurate weather prediction.
This week they’re publishing their free iphone application and later an android application.
Israeli news website Ynet reported today about a group of Israeli hackers that hacked Saudi Arabia website and managed to get their hands on a list of thousands of personal details including credit card numbers.
Spokesman of the group said they’re waiting for the right time to publish their results.
From Ynet’s examination some of the details are correct as they called one of the people on the list and confirmed his details, no need to say he was in shock.
The spokesman of the hacker group said that the group agreed on certain retaliation acts on every cyber and non cyber attack on Israel.
The group members personal details are unknown to each other, in case one of them gets caught so he won’t be able to turn in the others. They say that their actions aren’t coordinated with the Israeli government and if they get caught they will face a serious punishment.
Regarding the Saudian hacker who started this “cyber war”, the Israeli hacker says he’s not really talented and anyone with little knowledge and ready made tools could have pulled that out. He also said they’re working on uncovering the Saudian hacker’s real details but it’s not really a priority.
Facebook announced it’s 2012 Hacker Cup Competition.
“Prizes: Of course! $5,000 USD and title as world champion to the top hacker, $2,000 for second place, $1,000 for third, and $100 for fourth through 25th. Awesome t-shirts for the top 100 hackers coming out of the second online round.”
Symantec source-code was leaked by an Indian Hacker groups calling themselves “The Lords of Dharmaraja”.
Here’s a link to the full story.
I think it’s a darn good thing that happened.
Maybe another group of hackers already gotten their hands on that code long ago? Maybe even their updated source code, and they didn’t publish it. There could be lots of security holes known only to them. The world is theirs for the hacking.
This brings out the old arguments for and against open source. If you publish the source code, it’s easier for others to find security holes (and also to copy and violate intellectual property), on the other hand if you don’t publish the code, you don’t know about them, but then again someone else might find them out before you ever do, and the damage to your customers could be great.
I think that especially in security products, open-source strategy is really important.
I think Symantec should use this opportunity to release the source code of all of its products and make this hacker group threats obsolete. I don’t think it’ll happen though, it takes a lot of courage to pull out a did like that.
One of my favorite hackers took out a new book, and hacker news arrange a contest for winning it.

In today’s world it’s not very difficult to get rich in 24 hours.
All work can be very cheaply outsourced, and there are some great tools online that can help you get rich faster than ever before.
In this article I’m going to talk about google adwords arbitrage.
I’m going to give you a real live example of a way you can do this.
But first of all, what is google adwords arbitrage?
Well, it’s a phrase I invented and I use it to describe a keyword that is being googled a lot but with tiny advertising competition.
This means that many people are looking for something, and nobody is selling to them. A great example would be “how to hack facebook?” keywords. There are around 2.7 million searches for those keywords alone every month, but nobody is advertising there.
If theoretically you would write a book about hacking facebook and sell it for even a small price of 10$, and 1% of all users who search those keywords will buy it, you will earn the small amount of 270,000$.
Good luck getting rich, may you find your google adwords arbitrage quickly.
The end of the world will come, that is a fact. All those who read this now will not be witnesses to this event but it will happen anyway. What’s going to happen according to scientists is that the sun will expand until it will burn the earth, or it will expand enough so that no life forms can occupy this planet.
Like every living thing, stars and planets also has a life, they are born and they also die.
A planet can die in many different ways, go look for super novas.
We can all use green energy, recycle, and do all sorts of things but it won’t help.
I think that the human race must expand into space, we must colonize other planets, before we’ll run out of energy on this planet.
The end of this planet is very far and I doubt that human beings will still exists (I suspect that we’ll somehow destroy ourselves, or that some cataclysmic event will occur that will destroy us like the dinosaurs). Thinking about it makes all the current wars and political debates seem so minor.
I wonder if there was a beginning of time, and if there was there is also probably an end to time. If there will be an end of time, my bet is that everything will happen again and maybe the world will develop again exactly like now, and i’ll probably write these very words all over again and won’t remember that several billion years ago I already wrote it (this theory means that everything is predetermined). Anyway now the universe is expanding (look up dark energy), and in the end it’ll probably shrink again until it becomes one huge big mass and then the big bang will happen again.
Good night and good luck to the human race, may we not destroy ourselves too early.
For years I have suffered a fear of flying, it was an excellent bonus to my fear of heights.
I have flown many many times, and I thought that I’ll get used to it and stop fearing, but I was wrong.
Before every flight I suffered from stomach pain and I had to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes.
What happened to me was a pure accident, I was in Munich in the time of Oktoberfest, but I arrived late and I didn’t get to drink any Oktoberfest beer and was very disappointed about that.
My flight was around 10 in the morning and in the airport they were selling Oktoberfest beer! I thought to myself that it’s a bit too early to start drinking but I didn’t want to give up tasting this beer, so I bought one.
Apparently if you drink so early in the morning and on an empty stomach you can get drunk from even a single beer. So I got into a nice fun mood and my fear of flying was elevated a little. My stomach hurt me like never before because the mix of alcohol and the already upset stomach wan’t any good. But anyway my fear of flying was elevated a little, the drink gave me some courage, and I was able to kinda enjoy this flight.
I don’t know how it happened but during my “drunk mood” I was very aware of my thoughts, I noticed that my thoughts are more concentrated in the moment instead of what might happen.
That was this one flight, I thought to myself that this was a nice experience so I better reproduce it for my next flight. I did it a couple of times and it worked, but what I found out is that even when I don’t drink enough to get drunk it’s working and then I realized how to do this without alcohol.
Before every flight my brain is working 200%, it’s calculating every possible thing that can go wrong, from mechanical failure, to pilot having an heart attack, wings disconnecting, engine breaking, terrorists, you name it… what the alcohol did was relax my brain and make it focus on the present.
I realized that even without the alcohol what was now going in my head was this:
1. A thought of a terrible thing that can go wrong is appearing.
2. The thought is shot down by another brain process that is replicating feelings at the good flight I had.
This stops semi automatically (sometimes I have to do it consciously) the chain reaction of my fear.
After being shown a possibility of flying with no fear my brain was able to reproduce this process again and again.
What I also found out last week is that this also erased my fear of cable car…
I hope this story might help someone overcome their fear.
